Chief Executive Officer
Letha Stokes joined the staff at Medical Arts Hospital in 1988. Her career in healthcare has had her serving as Business Office Manager, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. Letha is a member of TORCH, (Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals).
Ms. Stokes is a native of West Texas, born in Lubbock, Texas and living there prior to moving to Lamesa in 1981. West Texas has always been her home. She received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education with a specialty in Healthcare Administration in June of 2004 from Wayland Baptist University and later completed a Master of Arts in Management with a specialty in Human Resources in November of 2005 from Wayland Baptist University.
Letha enjoys spending time with her family at the lake boating and fishing with her two children, Damon and Randi Lyn. Both children are graduates of Texas Tech University and work and reside in Lubbock, Texas.
Jo Beth Smith
Chief Operating Officer
Jo Beth began her career with Medical Arts Hospital in 1992 as Personnel Coordinator and went on to direct the Human Resources department. Currently she serves as the hospital’s Chief Operating Officer. Jo Beth is a Wayland Baptist University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. She married her husband, Dennis, in 1998 and they reside here in Lamesa.
Jeff Weaver, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Jeff arrived at Medical Arts Hospital in July 2013. He is originally from Choctaw, Oklahoma. Jeff graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in 1985. He comes to Medical Arts Hospital after serving as the CFO at Morton County Health System for fifteen years. Jeff married Kerri in 1991 and has three daughters.
Chief Nursing Officer
Heidi Cobb, Chief Nursing Officer, began her nursing career at Medical Arts Hospital in 1976 after graduating from Nursing school at Angelo State University. Born in Southern Illinois, Heidi moved to Lamesa as a child and graduated from Lamesa High School.
Heidi married her husband, Dennis, in 1975. They have 3 children and six grandsons. Heidi loves her family, her country and her profession.
Traci Brown began her career with Medical Arts Hospital in 1993 when she married Eugene Brown and moved to Lamesa from Lubbock
where she was born and raised. In 1999,After serving as Clinic Office Manager and Accounts payable clerk, Brown left to pursue other employment opportunities. She returned to Medical Arts Hospital in 2007 and now serves as HR director. She has received both her certification as a Professional of Human Resources (PHR) and a Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Brown serves as a board member of the Dawson Medical Foundation and the Dawson County United Fund.
